Campaign Tracking Parameters
What Are Campaign Tracking Parameters?

Campaign tracking parameters are identifiers added to links inside a campaign message to measure how recipients interact with the campaign.
These parameters allow EVA and external analytics tools to track campaign traffic and understand how recipients engage with links included in the message.
Tracking parameters are automatically attached to campaign links when tracking is enabled.
How Tracking Works

Tracking is configured in the Tracking section during campaign setup.
When Include tracking parameters is enabled, EVA automatically attaches tracking identifiers to links included in the campaign message.
These identifiers allow campaign traffic to be analyzed in external analytics platforms.
Default Tracking Parameters
When tracking is enabled, EVA applies default parameters that identify the campaign source and channel.
These parameters allow analytics tools to attribute website visits and actions to the campaign that generated them.
This helps measure how campaign traffic contributes to engagement and conversions.
Custom Tracking Parameters
The Customize tracking parameters option allows users to define their own tracking values.
This option is typically used when teams want to align campaign tracking with existing marketing attribution frameworks or analytics systems.
Custom parameters may help organize campaigns by source, channel, or campaign name in external analytics dashboards.

Why Tracking Parameters Matter
Tracking parameters help teams understand how campaigns perform beyond message engagement metrics.
They allow marketers to analyze:
- which campaigns drive website traffic
- how recipients interact with campaign links
- which marketing channels generate conversions
Using tracking parameters ensures campaign traffic can be measured across different analytics platforms.
