How Do I Manage and Complete a Task?
Overview
The Tasks Page is not only for viewing tasks. Each task can be opened and actively managed through the Detail View panel. The Detail View is where teams execute the work, break it down into actionable steps, track time, document changes, and collaborate with others through attachments and comments.
Step 1: Open the Detail View panel

Click any task to open the Detail View. This panel is the active workspace for managing the task.
Step 2: Review Core Information first
In the Core Information area, confirm the controls that define routing and ownership:
- Task Type (determines Responsible Team and Task/Ticket classification)
- Priority (Medium or High)
- Assignee and Watchers
This ensures you understand who owns execution and how the item is categorized.
Step 3: Confirm Store and Product Selection (scope)
Tasks can be linked to a specific Store. Once a store is selected, you can define scope using:
Single-select fields:
- Marketplace
- Brand
- Tag
Multi-select fields:
- Parent ASIN
- ASIN
- SKU
This step ensures the task is connected to the correct operational context.
Step 4: Use the To-Do list to execute in smaller steps
Use the To-Do List to break the task into smaller actionable sub-steps. This is useful when tasks require multiple actions, multi-stage progress, or coordination across people.
Step 5: Track time using Work Log and History Log

- Use the Work Log as a manual entry area to record time spent on the task. This supports operational reporting and execution tracking.
- Use the History Log to view a chronological audit trail of status changes and updates. This ensures progress is visible and traceable.
Step 7: Collaborate using Attachments and Comments

Use the collaboration area to:
- Upload Attachments
- Add Comments
- Notify team members using @mention
This keeps operational communication tied to the task itself.
