Detail View Explained: Core Information & Operational Controls
What Is Detail View?
Detail View is the management panel that opens when you click a task. It is the active execution environment for that work item. This is where operational work is managed, not just observed. Detail View centralizes classification, ownership, scope definition, and collaboration tools in one place.
The Logic (What is controlled here)
In Detail View, the Core Information section includes:
- Task Type, which automatically routes the task to the correct Responsible Team and classifies it as either a Task or Ticket
- Priority (Medium or High)
- Assignee and Watchers, which define ownership and visibility
This section ensures that routing, urgency, and ownership are explicit and standardized.
What Are Operational Tools?
Operational tools are the structured components inside Detail View that help teams execute tasks in a controlled way. They exist to make work measurable, trackable, and easier to coordinate.
To-Do List
The To-Do List breaks the task into smaller, actionable sub-steps. This supports structured execution and makes it easier to track progress inside a task.
Work Log & History Log
- The Work Log is a manual entry area where users record time spent on the task. This supports operational documentation and tracking.
- The History Log is a chronological audit trail that captures status changes and updates. It helps teams see what changed, when it changed, and how the task progressed over time.
What Is the Collaboration System?
The collaboration system is the set of tools inside Detail View used to coordinate work across users. Instead of splitting communication across separate channels, EVA keeps attachments, discussions, and notifications directly inside the task record.
The Logic
Collaboration includes:
- Attachments: files and documents added to the task
- Comments: a dedicated space for discussion and updates
- @mention: notifies team members directly inside comments
This design keeps task-related communication auditable and tied to the operational record.
