How Do I Measure Campaign Performance?
Overview
After a campaign has been sent, EVA provides performance data that allows you to understand how recipients interacted with the message. Campaign performance metrics help evaluate the effectiveness of a campaign and identify how well it achieved its communication goals.
Performance insights allow teams to measure recipient engagement, analyze campaign reach, and compare the performance of different campaigns over time.
Campaign results are available after the campaign delivery process begins and update as recipients interact with the message.
Step 1: Open the Campaigns page
To review campaign performance, first navigate to the Campaigns page from the main navigation menu.
The Campaigns page displays all campaigns created in the platform, including campaigns that are:
- in Draft status
- Scheduled for future delivery
- already Sent
Only campaigns with Sent status will contain performance metrics and engagement data.

Step 2: Locate the campaign you want to analyze
Once on the Campaigns page, find the campaign you want to review.
The campaign list provides several tools to help locate campaigns quickly, including:
- Search campaigns to find campaigns by name
- Channel filters to view Email or SMS campaigns
- Status filters to display only Sent campaigns
- Date filters to narrow results to a specific time period
Using these controls helps quickly identify the campaign you want to analyze.

Step 3: Open the campaign performance view
Click the name of the campaign to open its campaign details page.
For campaigns with Sent status, the campaign view includes performance metrics that summarize how recipients interacted with the message.
This performance view displays key engagement indicators and delivery information.

Step 4: Review the main engagement metrics
The campaign performance view displays metrics that measure how recipients interacted with the campaign.
Common engagement metrics include:
- Open rate
The percentage of recipients who opened the message.
- Click rate
The percentage of recipients who clicked a link included in the message.
- Delivered messages
The number of messages successfully delivered to recipients.
- Recipient count
The number of profiles who received the campaign.
These indicators help evaluate whether the campaign successfully reached recipients and whether the message generated engagement.
Step 5: Monitor engagement over time
Campaign performance metrics continue updating after the campaign is delivered as recipients interact with the message.
Some recipients may open or click the message hours or days after receiving it. Because of this, engagement metrics may change over time as additional interactions occur.
Monitoring these metrics over time provides a more complete view of campaign performance.
Step 6: Use performance insights to improve campaigns
Campaign performance data helps teams understand what works and what can be improved in future campaigns.
By reviewing engagement metrics, teams can evaluate:
- which messages generate the most engagement
- which audiences respond most actively
- how different campaign strategies perform
These insights can be used to refine targeting strategies, adjust message content, and improve campaign effectiveness over time.
Why Campaign Performance Matters
Campaign performance metrics provide visibility into how recipients respond to messaging.
Tracking these metrics helps teams:
- evaluate the effectiveness of campaigns
- understand recipient engagement behavior
- optimize future messaging strategies
Regularly reviewing campaign performance allows organizations to continuously improve their communication outcomes.
