SMS Templates Library & Template Status

What is the SMS Templates library?

The SMS Templates library is the main area of the SMS Builder workspace where all SMS message templates are stored and organized. This library allows users to manage reusable SMS messages that can later be used in campaigns.

Each template represents a predefined SMS message structure that can be edited, updated, or reused when communicating with customers. By storing templates in a centralized library, teams can maintain consistent messaging and avoid recreating common SMS messages repeatedly.

Templates in this library are displayed as template cards, making it easier to review available templates and quickly access them when needed.

Template cards

Templates in the library are presented as cards, with each card representing a single SMS template.

These cards provide a quick overview of the template and allow users to access the template for editing. The card layout helps users visually scan the available templates and quickly identify the message they want to work with.

From each template card, users can open the template editor to modify the SMS content.

Template status

Templates are organized using status states that indicate whether a template is still being prepared or ready for use.

The SMS Builder workspace uses the following template statuses:

Draft

A Draft template represents a message that is still being created or edited.

Draft templates are typically used during the preparation phase when message content is still being refined. These templates may not yet be ready for use in campaigns.

Active

An Active template represents a finalized SMS message that is ready to be used in campaigns.

Active templates usually contain approved messaging that can be reused across multiple communications.

Using template status filters

At the top of the Templates workspace, status filters allow users to organize templates based on their current status.

Available filters include:

Selecting one of these filters updates the template list so that only templates with the selected status are displayed.

This filtering system helps users quickly locate the templates that are relevant to their current work.
