How To Navigate in SMS Builder Page?
Overview
The SMS Builder workspace is where SMS message templates are created, organized, and managed before they are used in campaigns. Templates allow teams to prepare reusable SMS messages that can later be used when sending communications to customers.
Instead of writing each SMS from scratch every time a campaign is created, templates allow businesses to define message structures in advance. These templates can then be edited, reused, or updated whenever messaging needs change.
The SMS Builder page provides a centralized environment for managing these templates. From this workspace, users can browse existing templates, filter them by status, search for specific templates, and create new templates when needed.
Understanding how the SMS Builder workspace is organized helps users quickly locate templates and maintain a structured SMS communication library.
Step 1: Open the SMS Builder workspace
To access SMS templates, navigate to SMS Builder.
Inside the SMS Builder page, two primary sections are available:
- Templates
- Settings
The Templates section is the main workspace where SMS message templates are stored and managed.

This page displays all templates that have been created in the system. Each template represents a reusable SMS message that can be edited or reused when creating campaigns.
Step 2: Review the SMS Templates library
The Templates workspace functions as a library of reusable SMS messages.
Templates are displayed as template cards, each representing a single SMS message template. These cards provide a quick visual overview of available templates and allow users to open them for editing.
From the Templates library, users can:
- review previously created templates
- identify template status
- open templates for editing
- create new templates
This layout makes it easier to manage multiple SMS messages while keeping the workspace organized.
Step 3: Filter templates by status
To help organize templates, the SMS Builder workspace includes status filters that categorize templates according to their current lifecycle state.
The available filters include:
- All – displays all templates regardless of status
- Draft – templates that are still being prepared or edited
- Active – templates that are ready to be used in campaigns
Selecting one of these filters updates the workspace to show only templates that match the selected status.
Status filters are particularly useful when a workspace contains many templates, allowing users to focus only on the templates that are relevant to their current task.
Step 4: Search for a specific template
If many templates exist in the workspace, the Search templates field allows users to quickly locate a specific template by name.
Typing a keyword into the search field filters the template list and displays templates that match the search input.
Search functionality is useful when:
- locating a template that already exists
- confirming whether a template has already been created
- quickly opening a template that needs to be updated
Using search helps users avoid manually browsing through the entire template library.
Step 5: Open and edit a template
Existing templates can be accessed directly from the Templates workspace.
To open a template, locate its template card and select Edit Template. This opens the SMS template editor, where the message content and structure can be modified.
Editing a template allows teams to update messaging, improve communication clarity, or adjust templates when campaign requirements change.
Once changes are made, the template can be saved and will remain available in the Templates library for future use.
Step 6: Create a new SMS template
To create a new SMS template, click the New Template button located in the upper-right corner of the Templates page.

This action opens the SMS template editor where a new message can be created. After the template is written and saved, it will appear in the Templates workspace as a new template card.
New templates can then be reused whenever a campaign requires that SMS message format.
