Segment Library
The Segment Library provides a collection of predefined audience segments based on common customer behaviors. These segments help teams quickly identify important groups within their audience without needing to build segmentation rules manually.
Instead of creating segments from scratch, users can explore the Segment Library to find ready-to-use audience groups that reflect typical marketing scenarios.
What the Segment Library Contains
The Segment Library includes predefined segments designed to represent common customer states and engagement patterns. These segments are built using behavioral and profile data stored in EVA.
Examples of segments that may appear in the library include:
- engaged subscribers
- repeat buyers
- potential purchasers
- churn risks
- win-back opportunities
Each segment represents a specific type of customer group that marketers frequently target in campaigns.
Segment Cards
Segments in the library are displayed as cards, each representing a predefined audience.
Each card typically includes:
- the segment name
- the number of profiles currently matching the segment rules
- the last recompute timestamp
This layout allows users to quickly scan available segments and understand the size of each audience.
Segment Actions
Each segment card provides actions that allow users to interact with the segment.
Common actions include:
View
Opens the segment details so users can review the profiles that belong to the audience.
Recompute
Recalculates the segment membership using the latest available profile data.
Delete
Removes the segment from the library if it is no longer needed.
Why the Segment Library Is Useful
The Segment Library helps teams speed up segmentation workflows by providing prebuilt audience definitions.
This allows marketers to:
- quickly identify meaningful audience groups
- avoid rebuilding common segmentation rules
- launch campaigns faster using predefined segments
- maintain consistency across targeting strategies
By using the Segment Library, teams can focus more on campaign strategy rather than manually configuring every audience rule.
