Product Expansion and Detail View
The Product Expansion and Detail View allows users to inspect and manage the components of a unified product.
It provides visibility into how Amazon and Shopify items are connected and enables direct control over those connections.
The Big Picture
A unified product is a container of linked items.The expansion view allows you to open that container and inspect or modify its contents.
Expand and Collapse Behavior
Each unified product can be expanded or collapsed.
- Collapsed state shows a summary of the unified product
- Expanded state reveals all linked items and details
Users can click on a product row to toggle between these states.
This interaction allows users to quickly switch between overview and detailed inspection.
Viewing Linked Entities
When expanded, the unified product displays all connected items.
This includes:
- linked Amazon ASINs
- linked Shopify variants
Each item is shown with its own identifiers and attributes such as SKU, price, or status.
This view helps users verify that the correct products are connected.
Removing Connections
The expansion view also allows users to modify relationships.
Users can:
- remove a linked Amazon ASIN
- remove a linked Shopify variant
When a connection is removed:
- the item is detached from the unified product
- it returns to the unmatched state
- it becomes available for re-matching
This ensures that incorrect matches can be corrected at any time.
The Logic
The expansion view operates as a direct interface to the unified product structure.

- it allows inspection without modifying source data

All changes affect only the connection layer, not the original channel data.
