Manual Profile Creation
Manual profile creation allows users to add individual contacts directly to the EVA audience database. This feature is useful when a contact needs to be added without relying on external synchronization or automated sign-up processes.
Profiles created manually behave the same way as profiles imported from integrations or sign-up forms. Once created, the profile can be included in campaigns, lists, segments, and automation flows.
When Manual Profile Creation Is Used
Manual profile creation is typically used in situations where a contact needs to be added directly by a user. For example:
- adding a customer who subscribed through an offline interaction
- creating test contacts for campaign validation
- adding internal recipients for campaign previews
- manually registering a new subscriber
This allows teams to ensure the audience database contains the contacts required for marketing activities.
Creating a Profile
Profiles can be created from the Profiles page.
Users can create a new contact by clicking + New Profile in the top-right area of the page. This action opens the profile creation window.
The creation window contains the fields required to define a new contact.
Profile Information Fields
When creating a profile, users can provide the following information:
The email address typically serves as the primary identifier for the profile within the audience database.
Marketing Consent Settings
During profile creation, users can also define the contact’s marketing permissions.
These permissions determine whether the profile can receive marketing communications.
Available options include:
- Accepts Email Marketing
- Accepts SMS Marketing
If these permissions are enabled, the profile becomes eligible to receive marketing messages through the selected channel.
Profile Availability After Creation
After the profile is created, it immediately becomes part of the Profiles table and can be used across the platform.
The newly created profile can then be:
- included in lists
- evaluated in segments
- selected as a campaign recipient
- triggered in automation workflows
This ensures that manually created contacts behave consistently with all other audience profiles.
