How To Create an Email Template?
Overview
The Templates section in Email Builder is where reusable email templates are created, managed, and maintained.
Templates provide the starting structure for email campaigns. Instead of building the same email layout repeatedly, users can create a reusable template once and then use it across multiple campaigns and workflows.
Each template can contain:
- email layout structures
- branding and styling
- reusable content sections
- buttons, images, and text blocks
- responsive formatting for desktop and mobile devices
All templates are managed from the Email Builder area.
Step 1: Open the Email Builder Templates page

To access template management:
- Open the left navigation menu
- Click Email Builder
This opens the Templates page.
Inside this page, you can:
- view all existing templates
- search for templates using the search field
- create new templates
- open and edit existing templates
- manage template actions
Each template appears as a preview card showing:
- template name
- template preview
- template status
- available actions
This page acts as the central management area for all email templates.
Step 2: Create a new template

To create a new template:
- Click New Template in the top-right corner
This opens the template creation window.
Step 3: Enter template information

Inside the creation modal:
Template Name
Enter the name used to identify the template inside Email Builder.
This name should clearly describe the template purpose, for example:
- Welcome Email
- Promotional Campaign
- Newsletter Template
Description (Optional)
Optionally add internal notes or context describing the template.
Descriptions help teams understand the intended use of the template later.
After entering the information:
- Click Create Template
The template is then added to the Templates page in draft form.
Step 4: Review templates in the Templates list

After creation, templates appear in the Templates list.
Each template card includes:
- template name
- preview thumbnail
- current status
- quick access actions
Templates are initially created as drafts, meaning they are ready to be edited before being used in campaigns.
To open a template directly:
- Click Edit
Step 5: Use template management actions

Each template also includes an action menu accessed through the three-dot icon.
Available actions include:
Edit
Opens the template inside the Email Builder editor.
Rename
Changes the template name without affecting its content.
Duplicate
Creates a copy of the template.
This is useful when creating variations of an existing email design.
Delete
Removes the template from the Templates list.
Deleting a template permanently removes it from Email Builder.
Step 6: Open the template editor

When you click Edit or Create, the Email Builder editor opens.
The editor is divided into several areas:
Content and Styles tabs
- Content is used to add and arrange blocks
- Styles is used to control visual appearance and formatting
Content Blocks
The builder includes reusable blocks such as:
- Text
- Image

- HTML
- Unsubscribe
These blocks can be dragged into the email layout.
Layout Elements
Layout controls help structure the email.
Available layout elements include:
- Columns
- Section
These are used to organize content placement.

The builder includes responsive preview options:
- Desktop view
- Mobile view
This allows you to review how the email appears across devices.

The Preview & Test option is used to review the email before saving or using it in campaigns.
Properties Panel
The right-side Properties panel changes dynamically based on the selected block or section.
This area is used to configure:
- text formatting
- spacing
- alignment
- styling
- block-specific settings
Save Controls
At the top-right of the editor, available actions include:
- Save
- Save as new
- Exit
These controls are used to preserve changes or create reusable variations of the template.
Why Templates Matter
Templates standardize email creation across campaigns and teams.
Using reusable templates helps ensure:
- consistent branding
- faster campaign creation
- responsive email formatting
- reusable layouts and structures
- easier maintenance of recurring email designs
Templates also reduce repetitive work by allowing the same email structure to be reused and updated over time.
