How to Link Your Account to EVA?
Overview
This guide walks you through connecting your Amazon store to EVA Commerce Intelligence during onboarding.
The connection flow supports both:
- Amazon Seller (3P) → Seller Central accounts
- Amazon Vendor (1P) → Vendor Central accounts
During setup, you will select your business model, configure your store, authorize Amazon access, and optionally connect advertising data.
Step 1: Open the connection wizard

When you enter EVA for the first time, the Connect your Amazon Store wizard opens automatically.
This is the starting point for linking your Amazon account to EVA.

Step 2: Select your Amazon business model

Choose the type of Amazon account you want to connect:
- Amazon Seller (3P) → for Seller Central accounts
- Amazon Vendor (1P) → for Vendor Central accounts
This selection defines:
- the terminology used during setup
- the authorization flow you will follow
- how your data will be structured in Analytics
Step 3: Select your operation region

Choose your primary region:
- North America
- Europe
- Far East
This selection ensures EVA connects through the correct regional Amazon infrastructure and reporting endpoints.
Step 4: Select marketplace and account identity
For Amazon Seller (3P)
- Select your store location

- If your EVA profile does not already include a name:
- an Account Name field appears
- the Next Step button remains disabled until it is filled
- If a name already exists:
- the field is automatically hidden to reduce friction
For Amazon Vendor (1P)

- Select your marketplace
- Enter a Vendor Display Name (required)
This name acts as a reporting label (for example, “Main Wholesale Account”) and must be provided before continuing.
Step 5: Start Amazon authorization

Click Authenticate Now to begin the connection.
You will be redirected to Amazon’s official authorization flow.
Step 6: Complete Amazon login and permissions

Inside Amazon:
- Sign in with your account
- Complete two-step verification (if required)
- Approve EVA’s access request
Depending on your account type, EVA may request access to:
- fulfillment data
- product listings
- brand analytics
- sales and performance data
Vendor users will complete this step within a Vendor Central context, while Seller users proceed through Seller Central.
Important:
EVA does not collect or store your Amazon credentials. Authentication is handled entirely through Amazon.
Step 7: Confirm connection success
After authorization, EVA displays:
Sales Data Connected!
This means:
- your Amazon account has been successfully linked
- EVA can begin preparing your data
- you can continue with the next step
Step 8: Choose your next action
After connecting your store, you can choose how to proceed:
Connect Ad Account
Link your Amazon Advertising data for campaign-level insights.
Go to Analytics
Enter the dashboard immediately.
Connect Another
Add another store or marketplace.
Step 9: Connect your advertising account
If you choose to connect advertising:
- EVA starts a separate Amazon Advertising authorization flow
- You are redirected to Amazon
- Click Allow to grant access
This enables campaign tracking, performance metrics, and advertising efficiency analysis.
Step 10: Finish setup
Click Go to Analytics to complete onboarding.
EVA will:
- close the onboarding flow
- activate your account
- redirect you to the Analytics dashboard
What happens after connection
After setup, EVA enters the initial data sync phase.
You may see:
- a banner such as: “Preparing Data... We are downloading your data from Amazon.”
- loading placeholders across the dashboard
- temporarily empty or partial data views
During this phase:
- EVA retrieves your data from Amazon
- filters are automatically scoped to your connected account
- dashboards update as data becomes available
Seller and Vendor accounts load with their respective analytics logic once data is ready.
Common issues during setup
Next Step button is disabled
Make sure:
- a business model is selected
- a marketplace is selected
- required name fields are completed
- Vendor Display Name is entered (for Vendor accounts)
Data does not appear immediately
This is expected. EVA needs time to complete the initial sync.
Do I need to connect advertising now?
No. You can connect your advertising account later from within the platform.
