Responsive Editing: Desktop vs Mobile
Overview
The Email Builder allows you to review and adjust your template across different device views using the Desktop and Mobile toggle.
Emails are often opened on multiple devices, and layouts that look correct on desktop may not behave the same way on smaller screens. The responsive editing view helps you ensure that your template remains readable, structured, and visually consistent across devices.
Understanding how to use device views is essential for validating your template before it is used in campaigns.

Where to access device views
Device views are available in the top area of the Email Builder editor.
You can switch between:
- Desktop
- Mobile
Selecting one of these options updates the canvas to reflect how the email is displayed on that device type.
Desktop view
The Desktop view represents how the email appears on larger screens.
In this view:
- layout uses full width
- multi-column structures are displayed side by side
- spacing is more expanded
This view is typically used during the initial design phase, where structure and layout are defined.
Mobile view
The Mobile view shows how the email adapts to smaller screens.
In this view:
- content is displayed in a narrower layout
- columns may stack vertically
- spacing and alignment may change
This view is critical for ensuring that content remains readable and properly structured on mobile devices.
