Competitive Price Threshold

Competitive Pricing Threshold (CPT) is defined as a price based on competitive prices from other retailers (excluding other Amazon sellers). The offer may be ineligible for the Buybox if the seller’s price + shipping (minus Amazon Points) is greater than this competitive price. By setting a threshold, your CPT price will be your max price.

CPT is a feature by Eva as part of our repricing process. When listing prices are higher than the CPT price, the Buybox gets suppressed, therefore Eva tries to reprice below the CPT price.

Amazon determines CPT, based on reliable marketplaces and the pricing of other products. To provide the best customer service, they want to ensure that Amazon has the most competitive pricing.

Eva has a beautiful feature to help you out!

To do so, first, go to the Pricing Management part, and click on Pricing Settings. Please see Figure 1 below.

After clicking on Pricing Settings you will be welcomed by a pop-up of Eva’s pricing features. Here you can check the Competitive Price Threshold (CPT) box and enable it.

Lastly, you should click on Save and the settings will be enabled and Eva will take CPT into consideration while calculating your maximum prices.

The Buybox will be disabled if a user’s minimum price is set higher than the CPT.
If a user’s minimum price is less than the CPT, there should be no problems.
